WHO WE ARE
The South Shore Quality-of-Life Plan is a comprehensive community planning effort supported by lead agency the South Shore Chamber, alongside the Neighborhood Network Alliance, and South Shore Works. With the additional support from our residents we are working to identify priorities for better education, housing, job opportunities, safer streets, new economic opportunities and stronger personal finances. South Shore Chamber of Commerce
The SSCC strengthens and supports our commercial corridors and small businesses, by empowering our members with effective training, technical assistance and access to private sector and governmental resources. With a focus on attracting new and diverse businesses, we engage all stakeholders to improve the overall quality of life in South Shore. The Neighborhood Network Alliance
Community engagement through the vein of public safety, that trains neighborhood leaders how to tap into the human capital on their block and equip them with the resources to create neighborhood networks. Dedicated to empowering leaders by providing them with the following services: Subject Matter Focus Area Network Organizing, Community Education, Engagement & Outreach, Technical Assistance, Social Advocacy, Neighborhood Communications Our Network Focus Areas are Economic Development, Housing, Health & Wellness, Public Safety, Education, Youth, Arts & Culture, Transportation, Hospitality. South Shore Works
South Shore Works is a collaborative of major community organizations and institutions that have convened to plan and implement a strategy for comprehensive neighborhood restoration and revitalization. Its engagement structure includes working groups in six key areas -- Arts, Culture, and Entertainment; Economic Development, Environmental; Health and Wellness; Housing, and Public Safety -- town halls, forums, and an annual South Shore Summit.
